Subaru EyeSight: Why It Matters After a Collision
Subaru EyeSight uses a stereo-camera setup mounted at the top of the windshield, not a single camera like most ADAS systems. After any windshield replacement, front-end repair, or repair that disturbs the camera mount, EyeSight requires static recalibration in a controlled environment with Subaru targets, not just a dynamic drive-around recalibration.
We perform or coordinate EyeSight recalibration as part of every applicable Subaru repair. Skipping it can leave the pre-collision braking and adaptive cruise misaligned, which is dangerous and sometimes invisible to the driver.
