About Turo and Your Repair

Turo is the largest peer-to-peer car-sharing platform in North America. When a guest damages a Turo vehicle, the claim is handled through Turo's host protection plans rather than a traditional insurance carrier. The exact coverage depends on which protection level the host selected.

We process Turo claims directly. Whether you're a Turo host with a damaged vehicle or a guest who was in an accident during a trip, bring us your Turo claim number and we'll coordinate with their team. Like with rideshare claims, fast turnaround matters, the vehicle isn't earning while it's in the shop.

You Always Have the Right to Choose Your Body Shop

California Insurance Code §758.5 makes it illegal for an insurance company to require you to use a specific shop. Turo can recommend, but they can't require. You have the legal right to bring your repair to Executive Auto Body & Paint, and we strongly recommend you do.

Why? Because we work for you, not the insurance company. When the carrier wants to use cheaper aftermarket parts on safety components, we push back. When the initial estimate underscopes the damage, we document and supplement. When the insurer wants to rush a paint job, we say no.

What If My Repair Costs More Than the Initial Estimate?

Initial insurance estimates are usually written from a quick photo review and rarely capture the full damage. After we tear down your vehicle, we almost always find additional damage that wasn't visible in the original estimate. That's normal, it's called a supplement.

We document the additional damage with photos and submit the supplement to Turo. They review and authorize. You don't pay more out of pocket as long as the additional damage is covered by your policy (which it almost always is, since it's part of the same accident).
