Maserati: Italian Exotic, Attention to Detail

Maserati ownership is a commitment to a particular kind of craftsmanship. The trident on the grille comes with expectations: panel gaps that hold tight, paint that catches light the way it did from the factory, leather and trim that survive the repair process intact, and structural integrity that respects what the engineers in Modena designed.

Most general-purpose body shops aren't set up for this. We are. Maserati repair gets the same precision treatment we give to Porsche, Bentley, and Aston Martin work, computerized measurement against factory tolerance, computer-matched paint that we test before committing, OEM parts on visible and structural components, and ADAS recalibration to Maserati service spec.

Construction and Materials

Modern Maseratis use a mix of aluminum, high-strength steel, and on some performance models (notably MC20), carbon fiber:

  • Aluminum panels and structural components on Ghibli, Levante, Quattroporte, and Grecale. Aluminum repair requires dedicated tooling and a contamination-controlled workstation, both of which we have.
  • High-strength steel on structural rails and reinforcement members. Specific OEM joining procedures (welding, bonding, riveting) must be followed.
  • Carbon fiber monocoque on the MC20. Structural carbon repair generally requires dealer-certified specialty work; for minor cosmetic damage we coordinate with appropriate specialists. We can handle ancillary panel work and full vehicle refinish on MC20 even when structural carbon work is performed elsewhere.
  • Magnesium components on some performance models, rarely damaged in collision but requires specific handling when it is.

Maserati Models We Work On

  • Ghibli. Mid-size luxury sedan. Aluminum panels, ADAS suite, complex paint options. Bumper, fender, door, and quarter panel work are common.
  • Levante. Mid-size luxury SUV. Daily-driver damage patterns, plus the occasional tailgate or rear bumper damage from parking incidents.
  • Quattroporte. Full-size executive sedan. Premium paint, fine panel-gap tolerance, full ADAS recalibration.
  • GranTurismo (current generation electric and ICE). Sport coupe. Show-car paint standard, premium color palette, complex ADAS.
  • MC20. Mid-engine sports car with carbon fiber monocoque. Cosmetic and structural ancillary work; structural carbon coordinated with specialists when required.
  • Grecale. Compact SUV. Modern construction, full ADAS suite, premium paint options.

Color Matching for Maserati's Distinctive Palette

Maserati's color range is one of the more demanding in the industry. Distinctive finishes we match regularly:

  • Rosso Maserati, Rosso Trionfale, the iconic Maserati reds, formulation-sensitive and immediately visible if matched wrong.
  • Blu Sofisticato, Blu Veneziano, Blu Nobile, the deep blue palette where pigment drift from the original code is most apparent.
  • Bianco Audace, Bianco Birdcage, premium whites that benefit from proper blending into adjacent panels.
  • Grigio Maratea, Grigio Lava Opaco (matte), the modern grey palette, including matte finishes that require specific refinish procedures.
  • Fuoriserie program factory-custom paint codes, equivalent to Porsche's Paint to Sample. Each Fuoriserie color is essentially unique and requires the most careful spectrophotometer reading and test-panel verification.

We computer-match every Maserati refinish, test on a sample panel under multiple light sources, and only commit to the actual repair when the match is invisible. More on our paint color matching process →

ADAS Recalibration

Modern Maseratis carry the same ADAS suite as other premium luxury vehicles: forward radar, lane-keep, blind-spot monitoring, surround-view cameras, adaptive cruise. Any structural repair, windshield work, or bumper replacement requires recalibration to Maserati service spec.

We perform static and dynamic ADAS calibration in-house and document the scan reports as part of your repair file. How ADAS calibration works →

Insurance and Specialty Carriers

Many Maserati owners carry specialty insurance (Chubb Masterpiece, PURE, Hagerty agreed-value) or premium-tier standard policies. We work with all major and specialty carriers. On a vehicle of this class, we don't accept under-scoped estimates. OEM parts, full ADAS calibration, proper paint blending, all standard, all documented. More on insurance estimate negotiation →

FAQs

Maserati Repair FAQs

Are you a Maserati-certified shop?
We are not formally enrolled in Maserati's certified collision network. We do follow Maserati-published repair procedures, use OEM parts on structural and safety components, computer-match paint, and perform ADAS recalibration to spec. For structural carbon fiber work on MC20, we coordinate with dealer-certified specialty facilities. Our 4.9★ rating and lifetime workmanship warranty speak to outcomes.
Can you match Maserati's distinctive colors and Fuoriserie custom paint?
Yes. Rosso Maserati, Blu Sofisticato, Bianco Audace, Grigio Lava Opaco (matte), and Fuoriserie factory-custom finishes are all matchable with our spectrophotometer-based color matching system. We test every formula on a sample panel under multiple light sources before committing to the final refinish.
Do you work on the MC20 with carbon fiber construction?
Yes, for cosmetic, ancillary, and refinish work. Structural carbon fiber monocoque repair on the MC20 typically requires dealer-certified specialty facilities; we coordinate with them and handle the surrounding bodywork, paint, and reassembly on our side.
How long does a Maserati repair take?
Generally longer than mainstream-vehicle repairs because of parts availability (some Maserati parts have multi-week lead times from Italy), aluminum-specific work, and the additional attention to paint matching and ADAS calibration. Typical front-end collision repair runs 3-6 weeks. We provide a written timeline at estimate and update you weekly while parts are on order.
Will using an independent shop void my Maserati warranty?
No. Federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act protections prevent Maserati from voiding your factory warranty because you used an independent body shop. The warranty stays in effect as long as the repair follows factory procedure with appropriate parts, both of which we do.
